MAIDEN, N.C. - Meeta Ann McCombs Williams, 74, of Maiden passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022 at Heath House in Lincolnton.

She was born April 22, 1948 in Catawba County to the late Joseph “Joe” and Betty Abernethy McCombs. Meeta was a member of Cornerstone Church in Maiden and retired from Ethan Allen where she was a sewer for 41 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jeff McCombs.

Those left to cherish her memory is her husband of 54 years Gerald Williams of the home; son David Williams and wife Jennifer of Maiden; daughter Teresa Parker and husband Kenneth of Maiden; brother Joel McCombs and wife Mary of Newton; sisters Libby Deal and husband Kenny of Claremont, Lela Macjewski and companion Eddie of Newton; grandchildren Christine Baker, Wayne Parker, Katlyn Parker, and Burgin Williams; great-grandchildren Jayda Baker, Owen Yount, and Kinley Baker.

A service to celebrate Meeta’s life was held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 4 p.m. at Cornerstone Church in Maiden. Rev. Dr. Gregory Dry officiated. The family received friends prior to the service from 3-3:45 p.m. at Cornerstone Church. Burial followed at Maiden City Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers were Wayne Parker, Mark Baker, and Don Laney Jr.
