LAWNDALE, N.C. - Coleen Self Boston, 84, of Lawndale, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at home.
Born in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Lee Self and Laura Minnie Brittain Self. She was retired from La-Z-Boy Furniture as a seamstress and was a member of David's Chapel United Methodist Church and the UMW.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie "Bob" Boston; two brothers, Michael Self and Gene Self and one granddaughter, Emily Boston.
Survivors include two sons, Vic Boston (Beth) and Ray Boston (Teressa); two daughters, Penny Grigg (Phillip) and Gail Gilbert (Brian); four brothers, Coy Self and Bobby Self, David Self and Farrell Self; five sisters, Merle Rhoney, Sandy Leatherman, Nell Baker, Joann Starnes and Judy Lovelace; grandchildren, Sara Huffman (Dustin), Marie Fox (Cameron), Carrie Thompson (Jared), Luke Gilbert, Laura Grigg, Jacob Boston (Christyn), Hanna Boston, Grace Boston and Tessa Boston and great grandchildren, Arden Cleckner, Crew Cleckner, Meela Gilbert, Kash Gilbert, Ella Fox, Quinn Fox, Noah Plaster, Mackenzie Huffman, Maverick Huffman and Maddox Huffman.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until 2:45 p.m.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Norton and Pastor Forrestene Sain officiating.
The burial will follow the service in the David's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
