CATAWBA, N.C. - Jimmy Ray Willis, 79, of Catawba, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at his residence.
He was born July 2, 1942 in Mitchell County to the late Cay Titus Willis and Virginia Willis. Jimmy retired from the textile industry where he worked as a dyer. He loved flea markets and going to stock sales.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Willis; and son, Jason Willis.
Those left to cherish his memory is his brother Brown WIllis and wife Wendy of Catawba; sisters Muriel Hess and husband Luke of Newton, Beverly Grindstaff and husband Roger of Catawba.
A graveside service to celebrate Jimmy’s life will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory. Rev. Tommy Young will officiate.
