LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Nellie Sue Seagle Wise, age 97, of West Highway 27, Lincolnton died Saturday, May 7, 2022.

Her funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Daniels Lutheran Church with Pastor John Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.

Mrs. Wise was born on June 30, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Lawrence and May Dorsey Seagle. She was also preceded in death by her husband Ralph Hoyt Wise and brothers, L.J. Seagle and Robert Seagle.

Nellie spent her life as a farmer’s wife and was also a cafeteria worker at West Lincoln and Union Schools. She was a wonderful cook, making family meals especially noted for her chicken pies, roll and pound cakes. She was a lifelong member of Daniels Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Rita Sharpe and husband, Boyd of Ellenboro; her son, Tom Wise and wife, Anne of Shelby; four grandchildren, Kim Mathes, Gina Grantt, Maggie Graham and Katie Wise; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorials are requested to Daniels Lutheran Church, 3170 Reepsville Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
