Vertie Lee Price Sain
June 10, 1938 - July 27, 2022

VALE, N.C. - Vertie Lee Price Sain, 84, of W. Hwy 27, Vale, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at her home in Vale.

Born in Cleveland County, on June 10, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Willie Vasco Price and Mary Morrison Price. She was retired from Western Carolina Center in the food service division. Vertie was a member of Laurel Hill United Methodist Church where she had sang in the choir, a member of the Young at Hearts Group and former chairman of the food committee. She was a former 4-H leader for about 20 years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy "Bill" Franklin Sain.

She is survived by a daughter, Gay Sain and wife Theresa Moore of Vale; three brothers, Rev. Clyde Price of Lawndale, Raymond Price of Lawndale, and Wayne Price of Morganton; and three sisters, Irene Wilson of Lawndale, Lois Norman of Lawndale, and Helen Whisnant of Casar.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 28, 2022, 6-7 p.m. at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Laurel Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Johnny Norton officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

Memorial may be made to Laurel Hill United Methodist Church, 8364 W. Hwy 27, Vale, NC 28168.
