Linda Jean Lee Hicks
July 1, 1963 - June 3, 2022

STATESVILLE, N.C. - Linda Jean Lee Hicks, 58, of Statesville passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022 at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville.

She was born July 1, 1963 in McDowell County, W.Va. to the late Jack and Louise Dillon Lee. Linda had a strong faith and enjoyed attending church. She was employed with Direction Furniture in Newton and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Benny Hicks; brother, Jackie Wade Lee; and brother-in-law, Jessie Mitchell.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son Christopher Hicks and wife Alicia of Catawba; daughters Melissa Milch and husband Brian of Statesville, Joanne Hopper and husband Corey of Catawba; brothers Ronnie Lee and wife Kim of Mocksville, Randy Lee of Pineville, W.Va.; sisters Tina Wright and husband Ruben of Welch, W.Va., Debbie Mitchell of Princeton, W.Va., Tammy Lee and significant other Timmy Foster of Princeton, W.Va.; friend John Loftin of Catawba; grandchildren James Willis (JT), Elizabeth Hicks, Logan Styers, Savannah Milch, Jacob Hicks, Lillian Milch, Ben Styers, Ian Milch, Brilee Milch, (on the way) Ensley Hopper.

A service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Bennett Funeral Service, 7878 NC Hwy 16, Newton. Rev. Tommy Young will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Claremont. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Service. Those serving as pallbearers are James Willis, Logan Styers, Jacob Hicks, Brian Milch, and Corey Hopper. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Jason Taylor, Michael Taylor, Savannah Milch, Lillian Milch, Ben Styers, and Ian Milch.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
