LINCOLNTON, N.C. – Last night, Feb. 9, St. Luke's Episcopal Church held its traditional Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper with a Pancake Flipping Contest.  This is the second year they have had the contest and it was organized by Kae Wright.

The men of the Parish cooked and served the pancake supper and members of the parish and the community flipped pancakes in a contest to win baskets filled with Mardi Gras masks and pancake cooking ingredients.

Winners of the contest were:

  • First Place - Tina Freeland
  • Second Place - Jeremy Brotherton
  • Third Place - Veronica MacKinnon
  • Honorable Mention - Sage Warren, Monica Michael and Emma Carpenter
