Salem Baptist Craft/Bake Sale, November 9-10 --- A Craft and Bake Sale will be held Friday, November 9 (7 a.m. until 4 p.m.) and Saturday, November 10 (7 a.m. until 1 p.m.) at Salem Baptist Church, 1982, Salem Church Rd., Lincolnton, NC 28092. Lots of goodies, hot dogs will also be sold. Sale in the fellowship hall behind the main church building.

North Brook Baptist Fall Craft Bazaar, Saturday, November 10 --- A Fall Craft Bazaar hosted by North Brook Baptist, 7421 Flay Road, Cherryville, NC will be held Saturday, November 10 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. The youth will be serving breakfast and lunch. Pottery, jewelry, crafts, baked goodies, homemade canned goods and much, much, more! Everyone is welcome. No admittance fee.

Maryvale Sisters Prayer Center Cancer Support Group, Saturday, November 10 --- A carcinoid cancer support group for those who have carcinoid tumors or want to know more about them will have their first organizational meeting on Saturday, November 10 at 10:30 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Maryvale Sisters Prayer Center, 2522 June Bug Road in Vale, N.C. All are welcome, come and share with us. If you can not make this meeting and would like to attend in the future or need more information please call Sister Mary Michael at 704-276-2626 or email mvsrs1961@hughes.net.

Crouse UMC Fish Fry, Saturday, November 10 --- Crouse United Methodist Church, 3311 Crouse School Rd., Crouse, NC 28033 (GPS Address), will host their annual Fish Fry and Oyster Stew Fundraiser on Saturday, November 10 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Cost is Adults $12, Children (6-10) $7, Ages 5 and Under Free. Mt. Zion Baptist Veterans Day Service, Sunday, November 11 --- Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 112 Mt. Zion Church Road, Cherryville, NC  28021 would like to show appreciation to all Veterans for their service to our country at a special service on Sunday, November 11 at 10 a.m.  Every Veteran and their families are invited to attend as our honored guests.  Veterans will be involved in our worship service and each Veteran in attendance will receive a gift from Mt. LRU Institute For Faith And Learning Free Classes, Mondays through November 19 --- Lenoir-Rhyne University’s Institute for Faith and Learning is sponsoring weekly “Religion, Science and Ministry” classes, in the fellowship hall at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church. “Religion, Science and Ministry” will explore how individuals can engage questions of science faithfully in a local congregation setting. Mindy Makant, Ph.D., LR associate professor of religious studies and director of the Living Well Center, will lead class sessions, which are free and open to the public. No registration is necessary. The Gospel Truth, Tuesday, November 13 --- A new church – The Gospel Truth – is meeting each Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. at the Quality Inn, 1550 E. Temple Baptist Fall Craft Sale, Saturday, November 17 --- Temple Baptist Church, 3115 E Highway 27, Lincolnton, NC 28092 will host a Fall Craft Sale to raise money for their building fund with a hot dog and bake sale from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 17. Also on hand will be many local crafters and vendors.

Salem Lutheran & UCC Church Chicken Dumpling Supper, Saturday, November 17 --- The women of Salem Lutheran and UCC Church will host a Chicken Dumpling Supper on Saturday, November 17 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Suggested donation is $7 per person. McKendree UMC Luncheon, Sunday, November 18 --- McKendree United Methodist Church, 3537 Maiden Hwy., Lincolnton, NC 28092 will host their monthly Third Sunday Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Entrees this month are Country Style Steak and Chicken Pot Pie, served with sides, homemade biscuits, desserts, and beverage. Price is $8.00. Eat in or take out. Proceeds benefit outreach programs of the church.

Community Thanksgiving Service, Sunday, November 18 --- The St. Paul’s Lutheran, Bethphage Lutheran, Pleasant Grove United Methodist and Crouse United Methodist church families, friends and community will join together for a Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, November 18 at 6 p.m. The service will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran, 2834 W. Old NC 150 Hwy, Crouse, NC 28033. 

YMCA Annual Prayer Breakfast, Wednesday, November 21 --- The 19th Annual Prayer Breakfast, Thanks & Prayer, hosted by the Lincoln County and Sally’s YMCAs will be held Wednesday, November 21 at the James W. Warren Citizens Center, 115 W. Main St., Lincolnton, NC 28092.  Doors open at 6:45 a.m. for breakfast with program beginning at 7:30 p.m. with Keynote Speaker Dr. T. Anthony Spearman, President NC NAACP. Cost is $12 per person (table of 8 for $90). Space is Limited! Purchase tickets at LC Family YMCA, 1402 Gaston St., Lincolnton, NC 28092. Pleasant Grove UMC Golden Voices Concert, Thursday, November 29 --- The Golden Voices community chorus will present a free holiday concert at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church on Thursday, November 29 at 6 p.m. The public is invited. Anthony Grove Baptist Christmas Musical, Saturday, December 1 --- Come Experience A Christmas Musical TIME FOR A KING: Lion and the Lamb, performing all of your favorite worship and Trans-Siberian orchestra music on Saturday, December 1. Presentations will be at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Anthony Grove Baptist Church, 100 Anthony Grove Road, Crouse, NC 28033. Reserve your seats in advance. Ticket Prices: $12 in advance, $15 at the door. Crouse UMC Outreach Class Lighting The Tree, Saturday, December 1 --- Following the Crouse Christmas Parade (1 p.m.) the Crouse United Methodist Church will host a Lighting The Tree ceremony in the gazebo at Crouse United Methodist Church (approximately 2 p.m.). Lights on the tree can be sponsored in memory or honor or a loved one with proceeds to benefit Christian Ministry of Lincoln County. Crouse UMC Christmas Bazaar, Saturday, December 8 --- Crouse United Methodist Church will host a Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, December 8 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Many vendors and crafters with something for everyone and many one-of-a-kind finds. Food available for purchase including sausage biscuits and hot dogs. Home baked goods also available. Food sales proceeds benefit church mission projects.
