Some things are better by the dozen.
That just may be true of the McNeills. The Texas-based family––mom, dad and 10 talented children––will be stopping in Lowesville for a free concert (a love offering will be taken up) this Saturday.
They’ll be sharing their Southern gospel stylings at Living Word Ministries on NC16-business just north of the Old Plank Road intersection Saturday at 6 PM, according to Carroll Cooke, the church’s concert co-ordinator.
Also on the bill is the Cross-Anchored Quartet of Elkin.
The McNeills are relatively new to the Christian music milieu. They’ve been on the concert scene for some six years now. They have had the opportunity to do some amazing things in that short period of time, including bridging the generation gaps with their unique style, variety of music and line-up.
From praise and worship and bluegrass to a cappella, country gospel and the great hymns of old, the McNeills truly have something that everyone can enjoy. From the piano, guitar and bass to the fiddle, mandolin and pennywhistle, the group does it all.
The McNeills have garnered nationwide attention. They’ve performed at churches, festivals and conventions, and they’ve been being broadcast across the country on radio, as well as across the world with their popular music videos.
Living Word is located at 1062 NC-16 South in Lowesville.
