LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Freedom Church, 125 East Main Street in Lincolnton hosted a back to school event on Saturday, August 20 entitled L’Town Love. This is the third year that the church has organized this event.
A great crowd gathered to serve Lincolnton for L'Town Love. Free backpacks filled with school supplies, haircuts, dental screenings, and lunch! Plus live music from G.O.D.Sent!
Hip Hop/Christian Rap artist G.O.D. Sent rocked the house during the L’Town Love event with live music and posed for pictures with some of the kids.
He is from Puerto Rico and currently lives in Lancaster, Pa. G.O.D. Sent has music available on iTunes and at his website www.godsenthiphop.com.
Besides all the free things Freedom Church was honored to present the greatest free thing of all, the Good News of Jesus Christ, to every person who attended the three hour event.
L’Town Love partnered with Dr. Steven Austin and his staff to provide dental screenings and dental goodie bags to all the kids who came on Saturday.
Another partner was The Partnership for Children of Lincoln and Gaston County who served the community with free books for the kids.
Freedom Church would like to thank all who donated items and volunteered to set up and serve on Saturday.
