Christian Ministry To Have Food Drop
Be at the ministry on Thursday, April 30

Thomas Lark
Staff Writer

LINCOLNTON––The State’s ongoing virus-related restrictions have made it more difficult for many to get food.

To that end, Christian Ministry of Lincoln County is stepping up to do what it does best: follow the mandate of Jesus to “feed my sheep.”

According to executive director Mitzi Williams, there will be a mobile food drop––a distribution of food for those who need it––coming up on Thursday, April 30, 8-11 a.m. Those who need food should come to the ministry’s downtown Lincolnton offices, as Williams informed.

“During this event,” she said, “please turn on to Poplar Street from Main Street or Water Street.”

Williams continued that people would be asked for their names, addresses and household income information.

In other news, she added that the ministry currently is in need of food items. This includes canned meats and canned beans (but not green beans).

Can you help out the ministry financially? Williams encourages donors to check out the Website at www.christianministryoflincolncounty.org.

Christian Ministry of Lincoln County is located at 230 E. Water St. in Lincolnton. Call (704) 732-2691 or (704) 732-0383 for more information on upcoming efforts and volunteer opportunities for individuals and church and business groups.
