LINCOLNTON––The tallies are in.
And last month’s annual benefit Christian Ministry Golf Tournament brought in more than $11,000, according to Mitzi Williams. The executive director of Christian Ministry of Lincoln County, Williams told The Herald more Thursday, extolling the event held at the Lincoln Country Club.
“We had to work around some major thunderstorms,” she said. “But we had a great golf tournament! We had 84 golfers take part.”
She added that the monies raised would be a big help to the ministry, especially during a time of the year when donations are down.
Williams also listed the tournament’s winners. Earning first-place honors were Brian and Steve Lail, Scott Mann and Brian Lane. Dennis Parker, Gary Faulkenberry, Gerald Miller and Dwight Drum took second place. And coming in third were Bud Painter, Bud LaFevers, Marshall Pettit and Chase Cheatham.
