LOWESVILLE––Shaw and Sherry Anne will perform a free concert Nov. 27 at 5 p.m.

The Vineyard Church of Lake Norman (formerly Living Word Ministries of Lowesville) is the place to be, according to noted gospel singer and concert co-ordinator Carroll Cooke. And although the concert is free, as Cooke recently noted, a free-will offering will be taken up.

Talking of name changes, Shaw was formerly known as the Citizens of Glory. But the group’s sibling members recently opted to be known simply by their surname of Shaw. The band is comprised of eight siblings: Holly, Macy, Justus, Elley, Amy, Lilly, Peter and Daniel. These talented kids have been playing music together their whole lives. They began their professional journey six years ago. They released their first album in 2016, and they’ve since released five more albums and singles.

The Shaw siblings have amassed more than 450,000 views for their fun, family-friendly videos and unique arrangements that continue to amaze audiences all across America. They share the gospel of Jesus Christ through music, and they have a passion for encouraging families and young people to fight the good fight of faith.

Sherry Anne to sing
Also on the bill that night will be Upstate, New York-based Sherry Anne. This is a truly talented singer with a miraculous gift.

Born with a bilateral hearing and speech impairment, Sherry Anne has overcome this to sing with a powerful voice and crystal-clear diction. She has conquered every obstacle in her life, including pursuing and achieving beauty pageant crowns; earning athletic awards and academic scholarships; and becoming a chiropractor.

Today, Sherry Anne’s religious endeavors include ministry through music and inspirational speaking. She brings the message of God’s unconditional love, mercy and saving grace to wide and varied audiences.

The Vineyard Church is located at 1062 NC-16 South in Lowesville, just down the road from Hill’s Chapel United Methodist Church. It features Southern, bluegrass and/or acoustic gospel concerts every Saturday evening.
