LOWESVILLE––The Golden Valley Crusaders will perform a free concert on Nov. 26 at 5 p.m.

The Vineyard Church of Lowesville is the place to be, according to noted gospel singer and concert co-ordinator Carroll Cooke. And although the concert is free, as he recently noted, a free-will offering will be taken up.

Hailing from the North Carolina community of the same name, the Golden Valley Crusaders are a gospel bluegrass band that was established more than 50 years ago, as Cooke revealed, and they’re still going strong. They’ve tried to retire. But when gospel music is in your blood, you’ve got to keep on keeping on.

“Butch Cook and company will keep your toes tapping as they proclaim the Name of Jesus all evening long,” said Cooke.

Also on that evening’s bill are the Servants’ Voices of Statesville. They’ve been hailed as dedicated servants of God, lifting up the Name of Jesus Christ.

This particular concert, as Cooke noted, will feature “bluegrass and Southern gospel the same evening. Come and be blessed!”

The Vineyard Church is located at 1062 NC-16 South in Lowesville, just down the road from Hill’s Chapel United Methodist Church. The church features Southern, bluegrass and/or acoustic gospel concerts every Saturday evening.
