1 John 5: 13-15 “I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life. And this is the confidence that we have before Him: If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we already possess what we have asked of Him.”
You know as well as I how difficult it is to start a day in prayerful meditation to God. Usually, we hit the ground running and making decisions before we are out of the bed. Yet what we seek from the Lord has always brought forward a stronger outcome than just waiting for things to unfold.
A wife once asked her husband, “Can you give me a little money?” To which her husband replied, “Yes, how little?”
Something inside of me says, “I think we do the same kind of asking from God.” If we do not ask much of Him, maybe we will not have to do much for Him. The reality is He has already done so much for us we will never pay Him back. Yet He desires us to ask Him anything. In your prayers, remember His sacrifice and love for you and ask boldly for what you know He desires from you. Ask Him to give you resounding peace, a virtuous heart, tranquil patience, creative ideas, willing workers mindset and more. Ask Him to supply your needs abundantly.
We are reminded in verse 14 that He hears us and wants to answer our prayers in accordance with His desires. So ask! The challenge here is to remember the need to order your life to His desires. Much of our lives are spent seeking to satisfy our own desires but here we must alter our cultural expectations to yield to God’s plan for us. If you can do this God will guide you through the challenges you face with a graceful hand. Pray to achieve God’s perfection for your life and your prayers will be answered.
