LOWESVILLE, N.C.––The Ohio-based Lore Family will perform Nov. 11 at 6 p.m.
The place to be is Living Word Ministries in Lowesville. According to the church’s concert co-ordinator, Carroll Cooke, the Band of Brothers from Monroe will also perform. The Band of Brothers is another well-known gospel group.
Cooke noted that the concert is free. But he added that a free-will offering would be taken up.
In the Lore Family, Pastor Darren and Sandy Lore are joined by daughter Fayth and son Samuel. They live in Portsmouth, located on the Kentucky border in southern Ohio. The family has performed hundreds of times in the past several years, travelling throughout Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia, the Carolinas and Georgia. Rev. Lore has served as the senior pastor of two congregations in as many decades.
The family very much believes in the message of Ecclesiastes:
“Whatsoever thine hand findeth to do, do it with all thy might.”
The Lores say that they go wherever they find the opportunity. In addition to their musical performances of classic and original Southern gospel tunes, they’re also known for preaching, teaching Sunday School classes, counseling work, conducting seminars and more.
They’re known for the single, “An Absolutely Good Day.” Their latest album is Mount Testimony, and their latest single is “It Shall Be Well.”
