Williams also cited other ministry-related matters.
These include, she said, some “things you just need to know. We do not have any blankets.”
She encouraged folks to check out the Website at www.lincolntonlive.com to see what a day at Christian Ministry is like.
Williams continued that the ministry’s annual Christmas give-out for its many clients will be held Dec. 20. The ministry will be closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Dec. 26 and New Year’s Day.
However, the soup kitchen will be open on those days, she added, “thanks to some very nice volunteers.”
Williams continued that the Christmas fund now stands at $30,650 (see related coverage in The Herald).
“Can we collect $90,000 in three weeks to match last year?” she rhetorically asked. “Did you catch those November numbers? Six-hundred-eighteen families received food in November. So far, 518 families have signed up for the Christmas food. We will give out as much, if not more, food on one day in December as we give out in a regular month! Help the ministry provide a happy Christmas morning to children; a full dinner table to families; and continue to be able to minister next year.”
