In other news, the ministry’s food pantry continues to need canned beans, canned vegetables, laundry detergent, bar soap, cooking oil, spaghetti sauce, canned meats, Chef Boyardee items, corn, green beans, evaporated milk, beef broth, crackers, spaghetti sauce, mayonnaise and grits, as Williams noted. Toilet paper and plastic shopping bags continue to be needed.
The soup kitchen is a vital part of the ministry. It’s in need of instant rice and canned chicken. And Williams said it also needs volunteer coverage Jan. 13 and 21. If you can help, call her at (704) 732-0383.
Members of Victory Grove Church are scheduled to pack food Dec. 17 and 18, and Freedom Church, Dec. 21. And Dec. 27, 28 and 31 remain open dates in need of packers.
