Lowesville Gospel Concerts, King James Boys Bluegrass, Saturday, September 26 --- King James Boys Bluegrass will be the choice of music this Saturday, September 26 from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.  at Living Word Ministries, 1062 Hwy 16 South in Lowesville/Stanley. Word Of Life Lutheran Cow Pie Bingo Fundraiser, Saturday, September 26 --- The 2nd Annual Cow Pie Bingo Fundraiser hosted By Word of Life Lutheran Church of Vale will be held Saturday, September 26 from 3-7 p.m. At the Ike Sain Corral located behind the Cat Square Superette. Tickets for a chance to win $1,000 are $20 per square. Win a bonus $100 if winner is present at the event. Person who sells the winning ticket will win $100.  Come out and have a great time, there will be over 30 craft and direct sale vendors, food vendors, games, fun for the kids, live music and more! McKendree Annual Yard Sale and Pit Cooked Chicken Sale, Saturday, October 3 --- McKendree United Methodist Church, 3537 Maiden Hwy., Lincolnton, NC 28092 will hold its Annual Yard Sale and Pit Cooked Chicken Sale fundraiser on Saturday, October 3 with the Yard Sale from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. and Pit Cooked Chicken Sale from 11 a.m. until sold out. Pit Cooked Chicken plates include, chicken, baked beans, slaw, roll and dessert for a requested donation of $8. Available for outside pick up only. Mt. Zion Baptist Summit Trace Outdoor Concert, Sunday, October 4 --- Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the sounds of sweet Christian Music as our church celebrates 163 years of ministry. Dallas Baptist Flu Shot Clinic, Tuesday, October 6 --- On October 6 from 9-11 a.m., Dallas Baptist Church will host a flu shot clinic in conjunction with CVS of Dallas, N.C.  This will be a DRIVE-THRU CLINIC. Drive through the breezeway (between our educational wing and activity building off Maple Street), and while you sit in your car, you can get a flu shot. The flu shot is free with most insurances. Please bring your insurance card the day of the clinic. So that we can make sure we have enough shots, please preregister with the church office (704-922-3201) or at the link below. If you call to pre-register, please provide your name, phone number, and date of birth.

In Honor Of Stanley Area Veterans & Their Families, Sunday, November 8 --- A Celebration to Honor Stanley Area Veterans and their Family Members will be held on Sunday, November 8 at 6 p.m. at Stanley Pentecostal Holiness Church, 113 E. Parkwood St., Stanley. No Reservations Required. The event will also Live Stream at https;// (click and follow instructions on the screen). Keynote Speaker will be Abraham J. Turner, Major General of the US Army, Retired, PLUS Patriotic music, special guests and speakers, surprise recognition and a gift for all veterans in attendance.
