While those attending the camp meeting over the years have been from many Protestant denominations, it got its start as a Methodist gathering. Rather than try to tell you the history, we'll suggest that you read it on the Rock Springs Camp Meeting website at https://www.rockspringscampmeeting.com/history-lingo.
The other Lincoln County camp meeting, Tucker's Grove, won't be held again this year because of the pandemic, but the Ball's Creek Camp Meeting, on Buffalo Shoals Road in Catawba County, will follow the Rock Springs Camp Meeting. It will begin on Sunday August 8th.
