McKendree UMC Yard and Pit Cooked Chicken Sale --- On Saturday, September 18, McKendree United Methodist Church, 3537 Maiden Hwy. Lincolnton, NC 28092 will hold its Annual Yard Sale and Pit Cooked Chicken Sale and Hot Dog fundraiser. The Yard Sale is from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. and Food Sale from 11 a.m. until sold out. Pit Cooked Chicken plates include a half chicken, baked beans, slaw, and roll for a requested donation of $8 per plate/Hot Dogs with homemade fixings for a requested donation of $2 each. Available for outside pick-up only. Outdoor spaces for the Yard Sale are available at no cost but any donations to the church are greatly appreciated. Call Rev. Bethel Care Drive-Thru Grocery Distribution, Saturday, September 18 --- Bethel Baptist Church will be distributing groceries to our community in need on the 3rd Saturday of each month starting at 12 noon-until we run out. CJCLDS Preparedness Fair, Saturday, September 18 --- Please join us at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 105 Old Tram Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092 pm Saturday, September 18 from 4-6 p.m. as we offer information in areas such as first aid, food storage, first aid kits, employment, finance, addiction recovery, canning, water storage, and cooking. McKendree UMC Monthly Luncheon, Sunday, September 19 --- On Sunday, September 19, McKendree United Methodist Church (located at 3537 Maiden Hwy) will hold its monthly luncheon from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Menu includes Country Ham and Meatloaf with sides, dessert and drink. $8 donation requested per plate. Both inside dining and take-out will be available.

Lowesville Gospel Concerts, Childers Family and The Williamsons, Saturday, September 25 --- Living Word Ministries, 1062 South Hwy 16, Stanley (Lowesville), NC presents on Saturday, September 25 at 6 p.m.  The Williamsons from Weleetka, Okla. They are one of the best mixed (two women, three men) southern gospel groups in the country. The Childers Family from Lincolnton will open the program with some good southern gospel music.  This will be an awesome evening of worship to our Lord Jesus.  As always, NO ADMISSION COST. Lithia Springs COC, New Church Family, Sunday, September 26 --- We are excited to announce the  start of a new church family in Lincolnton. Lithia Springs Church of Christ will begin meeting in the home of Evangelist Darrell and LaurieAnn Clark at 1233 General Hoke Drive on Sunday, September 26, 2021. Bible Class at 10 a.m., Morning Service at 11 a.m. and Evening Service at 6 p.m. For more information call 915.760.6060.
