DALLAS––It’s sure to be an egg-citing event.
It’s an Easter party, featuring Easter egg hunts, food, crafts, games and more, April 9, 7-9 p.m. The place to be is New Heights Baptist Church, located at 1506 Miles Road in Dallas, according to event spokeswoman Mitzi Williams. Also the executive director of Christian Ministry of Lincoln County, she explained last week that the church is led by her son and daughter-in-law, Eli and Heaven Williams.
“It is just across the county line, outside of High Shoals,” Mitzi Williams added of the church’s location. “While the church building and grounds have been there a while, the congregation is new and growing. COVID slowed everything down. But now, things are happening. They have had Christmas, Valentine’s and Vacation Bible School events, but this will be the first Easter event they have had.
“The church’s mission is to love and support the community while sharing how much Jesus loves us,” she continued. “Easter celebrates such a significant time in our lives, and the church welcomes everyone to come celebrate it at New Heights.”
That Saturday’s event will have an Easter egg hunt for preschoolers at 7:30 p.m. A glow-in-the-dark Easter egg hunt will follow an hour later.
“Fun is planned for all ages!” as Pastor Williams noted.
