Christian Ministry: LINC Meals Needs Drivers
How you can help local elderly and shut-in residents

Lincoln Herald Staff

LINCOLNTON––It’s a vital part of what Christian Ministry of Lincoln County does.

It’s the ministry’s LINC Meals program, which provides hot meals to local elderly and shut-in residents. And according to Christian Ministry Executive Director Mitzi Williams, the program needs your help.

How? If you can drive your vehicle, often as few as just one or two days a month, to deliver meals to local folks, the ministry wants to hear from you. Williams informed that a LINC Meal driver is needed for the West Lincoln routes I and II, respectively one Tuesday and two Thursdays and again on the second Thursday of each month. The Boger City II route needs a driver on the third and fifth Thursday of each month. The Iron Station route needs a driver on the second and fourth Thursday of each month. And the Emmanuel Lutheran Church route needs a driver on the third Monday of each month.

Can you help LINC Meals? Williams encourages you to call the ministry at (704) 732-0383.

In other Christian Ministry news, talking of food, its food pantry needs crackers and canned beans (but not green beans). Also needed is laundry detergent. The ministry’s emergency services section needs back-to-school bookbags for students of all ages and men’s underwear in small and medium sizes.

And, as Williams added, monetary donations are always appreciated.

“Whether you donate a dollar, or you organize a fundraiser and donate more, every donated amount counts,” she emphasized.

Send your e-mails to if your donation is in honor or memory of someone, along with the name/address of who to notify.

You may also mail your donations to:
