Coach Henley Hot Dog Fundraiser, Friday, December 11: A Hot Dog Fundraiser to benefit Coach Al (Teresa) Henley will be held Friday, December 11 from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Cherryville by donation only (cash or checks accepted). The event is sponsored by his Sunday School Class. Pre-Orders can be made by calling 704-435-3796 or just stop by during the day. Curbside Pick-Up and Large Order Delivery will be available. Hot Dogs include your choice of Chili, Slaw, Onions, Mustard and/or Ketchup. Coach Henley has had a battle with his lungs then Covid attacked him three months ago which has not allowed him to work. The family appreciates all of your prayers.
Community Involvement Meeting Dec. 3: Mark Phinney and Fred Lanier are requesting the rezoning of a 2.86-acre tract from R-S (Residential Suburban) to CZ B-G (Conditional Zoning General Business) to permit vehicle service and vehicle sales. The property (Parcel ID# 00364) is located at 4588 Reepsville Road, on the north side of Reepsville Road about 600 feet east of Jetton Drive. A community involvement meeting will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2020, at 6:30 p.m. at the subject property at 4588 Reepsville Road to provide information about the proposal and to receive comments prior to a public hearing. For more information, contact the Lincoln County Planning and Inspections Department at (704) 748-1507.
Real Life Community Church Craft Bazaar/Bake Sale, Saturday, December 5: Real Life Community Church, 5467 NC-27, Iron Station, NC 28080 will host a Craft Bazaar and Bake Sale on Saturday, December 5 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.  Many items including handmade laser cut wood items, gnomes, clothing, jewelry, scarfs, toboggins, wreaths, lotions, lots of food and baked items and more. Everyone attending is asked to wear a mask. 
Bethel Baptist 5th Sunday Singing, Sunday, November 29: The Rock of Ages Music Family (The Rankins) will be singing during our 10 a.m. service on Sunday, November 29.  A Covered Dish meal will be served after church. Please join us! The church is located at 200 Bethel Church Rd., Lincolnton, N.C. 28092.
