Pumpkin Patch At BCUMC Sept. 25-Oct. 31: Boger City United Methodist Church is anticipating over 2,000 pumpkins to arrive from the Navaho Indian Reservation in New Mexico for their annual fundraiser that benefits BCUMC missions and the Navaho Nation. From September 25 throughout October Pumpkin Patch hours will be Monday-Friday from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. Pumpkins and gourds in a variety of sizes will be available for sale. Prices of pumpkins are based on size and circumference. The Patch is located at 2320 East Main Street (across the street from Village Inn Pizza) in Lincolnton, please remember to bring your camera for photograph opportunities. Lowesville Gospel Concerts, Childers Family and The Williamsons, Saturday, September 25: Living Word Ministries, 1062 South Hwy 16, Stanley (Lowesville), NC presents on Saturday, September 25 at 6 p.m.  The Williamsons from Weleetka, Okla. They are one of the best mixed (two women, three men) southern gospel groups in the country. The Childers Family from Lincolnton will open the program with some good southern gospel music.  This will be an awesome evening of worship to our Lord Jesus.  As always, NO ADMISSION COST. Stampede For Student Success And Open House Oct. 2: The inaugural Stampede for Student Success will be held Saturday, October 2 at the Gaston College Dallas Campus. The event will feature a timed three-mile run at 8:30 a.m. and a non-competitive walk of one and a quarter miles at 9 a.m. The event is presented by the Gaston College Foundation. Proceeds from participant entrance fees, donations and sponsorships will go toward the Gaston College Fund, which ensures immediate funding to meet critical campus needs and help students in a variety of ways. To learn more, or if you would like to donate, sponsor or register to participate, run on over to the Website at www.gaston.edu/stampede. An Open House will be held immediately following the event for high school students and their families, teachers and counselors; adult learners; and members of the community who want to learn about the opportunities available on all Gaston College campuses in Dallas, Lincolnton, and Belmont. Lithia Springs COC, New Church Family, Sunday, September 26: We are excited to announce the  start of a new church family in Lincolnton. Lithia Springs Church of Christ will begin meeting in the home of Evangelist Darrell and LaurieAnn Clark at 1233 General Hoke Drive on Sunday, September 26, 2021. Bible Class at 10 a.m., Morning Service at 11 a.m. and Evening Service at 6 p.m. For more information call 915.760.6060.
