From Thursday, October 10 until Sunday, October 13, former classmates at Lincolnton High School (classes of 1960-1970) will be nippin' and sippin' and dippin' and flippin' at the OD Resort and elsewhere up and down the Grand Strand.
It's a great opportunity to renew old acquaintances, notice how old and fat your fellow classmates look while you still look very much like that Pine Burr yearbook picture, and have a great beach weekend.
Originally a deadline for reservations had been set for August 15, and nearly 250 people met that deadline. But the organizers now say they've extended the opportunity for those who would like to participate right up until the event itself. Tickets can be purchased for $40 per person prior to October 10. They'll be $50 per person on the 10. Goodie bags that will be given out to early registrants may not be available for those who have waited too late, but you may still be able to join the group for the big dinner.
To learn more about the event, you can visit the website lhs60to70.com and you can also register online. Ocean Drive Resort is offering a special rate to those attending the reunion, but there are several other events going on that weekend, so if you wait too late, you may not be able to get a room there.
