LINCOLNTON, N.C. - On Saturday, August 3 at 6:30 p.m. thirteen young ladies will take the stage at the James W. Warren Citizens Center as they compete for the title of the 41st Lincoln County Apple Queen. At the end of the night Destiny Self will hand over her title and crown her successor. The contestants are not only competing for the coveted title but also $8,000 in scholarships and prizes.
Contestants will compete in a personal interview early in the day Saturday and then will descend upon the James W. Warren Citizens Center to compete in business wear, on-stage question, swimwear and evening gown. These thirteen young ladies and their apprentices along with former queens and pageant directors have been practicing for the last few months to perfect their interview techniques, wardrobe and opening number. You are invited to watch and cheer them on as they bring their best to the stage in hopes of going home with the title “Miss Lincoln County Apple Queen” and join the family of “Forever Queens.”

Admission to the Pageant is $10 (cash or check, no credit cards) and tickets will be available (while they last) at the door. Children under five will be admitted free with a paying adult. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. The Pageant, the 41st, begins at 6:30 p.m. at the James W. Warren Citizens Center, 115 W. Main St. in Lincolnton.
