Parks Should Be Enjoyed Year Round

To whom it may concern:

Hi, my name is Calob and I am a Boy Scout in the Vale, N.C. area and I am working on my Communication Merit Badge.

One of my requirements is to write to an editor of a local newspaper to express my opinion on a subject matter.

I have chosen to write about West Lincoln Park being closed on snow days.

I feel if you can get there safely the park should be open for everyone to slide down the big hills they have there. This is a much safer way to enjoy the snow without sledding on a main road.

I believe that parks should be enjoyed year round and in all kinds of weather. I enjoy the wintertime and when it snows it allows me to partake in my favorite activity which is sledding.
