Scout's Letter To The Editor

I am a member of Boy Scout Troop 323 in the Thunder Eagles patrol. I am currently working on the Communication Merit Badge requirement 7a. For this requirement it asks of me to contact the editor of a local newspaper concerning my opinion of any article in the newspaper.

The article that I chose for this email was “When it Comes to Stamps, Cheapness is Relative.” In this article it states that stamp prices are on the rise and there should be a change to this.

This article also states a statistic that stamp prices have gone up about 57 cents since the 1960s. This may not seem like much to others, but for those who grew up sending mail, and did not grow up with the internet, this is a big change.

A book of 20 stamps now cost $12.60 and will only go up from here. This is why in my opinion we should figure out new ways to fight inflation before it gets worse than it already is, and we go into a recession.
