Lincoln County Schools Give Out 'Of the Year' Awards

Lincoln County Schools held an 'Of the Year' event at Laboratory Mill Monday afternoon, honoring both top eductors and others for their work with the schools.

Those honored at the reception included the Teacher of the Year, Dr. Laurie Dymes from North Lincoln Middle School. Also honored was Principal of the Year Scott Carpenter from Lincolnton High School. Carpenter was chosen forthat honor last October.

• Assistant Principal of the Year, Anna Gilbert of  Union Elementary
• Classified Employee of the Year, Amber Lynn from West Lincoln Middle School
• Bus Driver of the Year, Margaret Gibbs of Battleground
• Volunteer of the Year, Kevin Ray of LHS
• Child Nutrition Employee of the Year, Letha Dellinger of Iron Station School
• Counselor/Social Worker of the Year, Alicia Kester, who splits her time among North Brook Elementary, West Lincoln High SChool, West Lincoln Middle School, and Union Elementary and
• Media Coordinator of the Year, Lindsay Fier from North Lincoln High School.
