On the first day of June, Robert Bosch Tool Corporation announced plans for a major expansion of its operation on Indian Creek Road west of Lincolnton.  The company will invest $130 million, add a new plant, and when the expansion is completed in 2027 provide over 400 new jobs.

The groundbreaking for the 325,000 sq. ft. plant was held Wednesday (June 20th).  

The company has long been an important part of Lincoln County's industrial community.  The first plant here was built in 1960 as part of Vermont American Corporation.  It became a part of Bosch's worldwide operation several years ago.
