Flo Robinson-Robert Lineberger Literary Competition Winners Announced

Entries were received by elementary, middle school, high school students and adults.


LINCOLNTON, N.C. - The Arts Council of Lincoln County held an awards ceremony on Thursday evening, April 11 to honor the winners of the 40th Annual Robinson-Lineberger Literary Competition.

Entries were received by elementary, middle school, high school students and adults. The judges for this years’ event were Allyson L. Heafner and Faye Morris.

The winners this year are:

Elementary Poetry Winners

  • 3rd Place: Troy Wilson, Rock Springs, “Joy”
  • 2nd Place: Mykeala Hance, Catawba Springs, “Seasons”
  • 1st Place: Elias Cobb, Rock Springs, “How to Chill”

Elementary Prose Winners

  • 3rd Place: William John Bess, North Brook, “What is Autism?”
  • 2nd Place: Littie Earnhardt, Rock Springs, “The Day”
  • 1st Place: Collins Elmore, Rock Springs, “Charlie Anderson, My Little Brother”

Middle School Poetry

  • 3rd Place: Emma Waters, West Lincoln Middle, “Reality”
  • 2nd Place: Keara Watson, Lincoln Charter, “Focused”
  • 1st Place: Sebastian Uhl, North Lincoln Middle, “A Small Ode”
