NEWTON, N.C. - Angela (Angie) Whitaker Chinn passed away on March 15, 2024 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory at the age of 53. 

She was born on July 29, 1970 in Lincolnton.

Angie is survived by her husband, Phillip Chinn of Newton; her parents; Everette (Buck) and Judy Rudisill of Newton; two children; Darrell Whitaker Jr. of Elkin and Jessica (Joshua) Honaker of Rio, W.Va.; two step-children; Katina Miller of Stanley, and Brandon Chinn of Newton; three grandchildren; and one brother, Steven (Brenda) Rudisill. 

Angie is preceded in death by Darrell Whitaker Sr.; one child, Angelica Catherine Whitaker; and two great-grandchildren. 

The Chinn family will hold a private celebration of life for Angie.
