CONOVER, N.C. - John Edward Mani, 65, of Conover passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at his residence.

He was born May 20, 1958 in Wayne County, Ohio to the late Edward and Rose Riley Mani. John retired from the U. S. Postal Service in Toledo, Ohio and was an avid sports fan, pulling for all Ohio teams; Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Cavaliers and the Cleveland Browns.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Mani.

Those left to cherish his memory is his wife of 40 years Renee Bondy Mani of the home; son Shane Mani and wife Amber of Conover; daughters Cori Williams and husband Jeff of Conover, Kaitlyn Baldwin and husband Jordan of Conover; brother James Mani of Lumberton; sisters Debra Yerian and husband Ralph of West Salem, Winnie Chambers and husband Jim of Yolyn; grandchildren Cole, Easton, Bailey, Maverick, Addy, Marley, Braxton, Nora, and Haidyn; and loyal canine companions Frankie and Kya.

A memorial service with military honors to celebrate John’s life were held on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Bennett Funeral Service, 7878 NC Hwy 16, Newton. Vicar Chris Bass officiated. The family received friends prior to the service from 3-3:45 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Service.
