BOYS
A win for Lincolnton, an overtime win for North Lincoln, a come-from-behind win for Lincoln Charter, and a record-setting performance in the East Lincoln game were all a part of Tuesday's boys action.
Lincolnton 71, East Burke 56
The Wolves' game with East Burke was close in the first half. LHS led 32-26 at halftime after a slow start in the first quarter saw them trailing 17-11; but they outscored the Cavaliers 20-16 in the third period and 19-10 in the fourth to get back on track after three losses in a row over the previous two weeks.
The win improves the team's record to 7-4 in the Catawba Valley Conference, 16-5 overall. That leaves them tied with Bandys & Maiden for third place in the league. The Blue Devils whacked Bunker Hill Tuesday night while the Trojans lost a scoring contest to first place Newton-Conover.
