Gaston County Police say the arrest of a Dallas woman on Wednesday March 20th may be the first in what may be multiple arrests related to a suspected drug trafficking operation.

The Gaston County Police Special Investigations Unit (SIU), working a joint investigation with the Dallas Police Department, obtained information that two large packages containing illegal narcotics were going to be delivered to an address in Dallas.

During the investigation, detectives were able to obtain a search warrant leading to the seizure of eight kilograms of cocaine with an estimated street value of $570,000.

Police arrested Brandi Myesha Brooks, 44, of E. Main Street in Dallas and charged her with Trafficking by Possession of Cocaine. She is scheduled for a district court appearance on April 12th.
