NEWTON, N.C. - Patsy Jane "Pat" Hight, 81, of Newton died Friday April 26, 2024 at Carolina Caring in Newton.

Born September 13, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Willie I. Buff and Ida Buff. After graduating from Newton-Conover High School, Pat entered into the insurance industry. She was an insurance agent and contributed to building two agencies with her husband, Harry. She also worked with Harry at Twin City Insurance Agency.

Pat and her loving husband, Harry, married in 1960 and enjoyed 64 years together. Prior to settling in Catawba County, Pat and Harry lived in Nebraska and New Jersey. Pat and Harry had two sons who adored her, Sean and Devin.

Pat is survived by her husband, Harry; and sons, Devin (wife Jennifer) Hight of Minnesota  and Sean Hight (friend Stacy Lucky) of Conover; two brothers, Bobby Joe Buff and wife Patsy of Vale and Ralph Buff of Boone; and grandchildren whom she loved to spoil, Ethan, Grayson, Logan and Katie.

Pat was proceeded in death by her parents and two sisters; Doris Clopton and Coleen Boggs and two brothers; Ray Buff, Hugh Buff and W.I. Buff Jr.

A Private Graveside Service was held Wednesday, May 1, 2024 with The Rev. Dr. Rob Helton officiating at St. Paul's Memorial Park.
