LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Mrs. Penny Pendleton Huss, 78, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

Penny was born on November 23, 1945 a daughter of the late Bobby Jenks Sr. and Sarah Childers Jenks. She and her husband owned and operated J&P Trucking and Lincoln Freight Lines. Penny was also secretary and treasurer for Bethphage Lutheran Church in Lincolnton. She also enjoyed interior decorating.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerry and Lenny Pendleton and Wayne Jenks.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Jerry W. Huss of the home; a daughter, Lisa Noles and husband Mark of Lincolnton; a sister, Rita Sronce and husband Gary; two brothers, Bobby Jenks and wife Denise, Terry Pendleton all of Cherryville; two grandsons, Jake Noles (Emily) and Carson Noles; a sister-in-law, Judy Martin and husband Dale of Lincolnton.

The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Bethphage Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall in Lincolnton.

A celebration of life service was held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at Bethphage Lutheran Church with the Rev. Thomas Beers officiating.

Burial was private.
