Catawba Valley Community College has announced that it is reducing its workforce. A news release, the school said declining enrollment has made the adjustment necessary. 27 employees were affected by the cutback.

Planning Board Votes Against Rezoning for Sunbelt
Following a public hearing on a rezoning request that would have allowed an equipment rental company to locate on NC16-business in eastern Lincoln County, the County Planning Board voted 6-1 to recommend denial.

College's Small Business Center Opens Sept. 1
Effective Sept. 1, the Gaston College Small Business Center will be open every Thursday, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. It’s located at the college’s Lincoln Campus in Room No. 107 of the Lincoln Classroom Building.
