More than 1,200 graduates honored Friday
With 1,225 graduates honored, this was the largest class yet for the college in its history of almost 60 years. The graduates received credentials, diplomas and associate’s degrees from 69 curriculum programs.

Lincoln County Has Positive Rabies Case
State confirms rabies in dead bat
On Thursday, the North Carolina State Public Health Laboratory confirmed a case of rabies found in a bat in Lincoln County. This is the county’s first report of rabies this year.

Last week’s first-ever bingo game raised more than $5,000 for the LINC Home-Delivered Meals Program. The annual “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive that is co-sponsored by the National Association of Letter-Carriers is May 11th.

Team earns nearly 50 medals
Held last month in Greensboro, Skills USA is a national competition involving the skilled and technical education programs of middle, high school and college/post-secondary education institutions. Some 24 students will represent CVCC at the National Skills USA Competition this summer.

As the associate dean for work force connectivity, Lefevers is very busy. She helps connect students to opportunities beyond the classroom, such as work-based learning, career advising and apprenticeship.
