Still Hoping To Stand United

Someone decided to express a negative opinion to the "United We Stand" mural on N. Poplar Street in front of First Federal Park.  They used their car to leave tire marks from one end of the mural to the other Tuesday night (July 14th).

Dr. Ashley Oliphant A Big Hit In Key West

A Lincolnton native who now lives in Denver and works as an assistant professor of English at Pfeiffer University, Oliphant was in Key West at the world-famous Ernest Hemingway House on Thursday.

MLK Unity Award Honorees Named

This year, the MLK Unity Awards will go to Gastonia Mayor Walker Reid III, veterinarian Dr. Mark Epstein and former chaplain John Weisenhorn. Awards will be presented on Jan. 20 at 10:30 a.m. by the Gaston Together’s Gaston Clergy and Citizens Coalition.

Lincoln County 4-H Introduces New Program Assistant

Lincoln County Cooperative Extension is pleased to announce its recent hire of Ahmani Pegues, who joins the Extension team as the 4-H Program Assistant. Her role will be providing support to 4-H programming and club management.

Two Crowned Saturday For LHS

On Saturday (Nov. 16) 11 young ladies took the stage at the James W. Warren Citizens Center to compete for two separate titles.  Seven competed to be crowned the 2020 Miss Lincolnton High School and four competed for Miss Black and Gold.

Positive Start For WLHS Class Of 2020

Approximately 60 West Lincoln High School seniors began their final high school year with ‘Prayer By The Rock’ and a ‘Chinese Lantern Kickoff’ on Sunday, August 11 by the school Spirit Rock. The event was planned and hosted by the parents of the Class of 2020.
